I. Operational Guidelines
1. Preheating and Settings
Preheat the oven as needed before use. Open the oven door, set the temperature to the desired value, and wait for the internal temperature to reach that set point. Simultaneously, configure parameters such as drying time and airflow speed appropriately based on the sample's properties and processing requirements.
2. Sample Placement
Place the samples to be dried evenly on the trays or wire racks inside the oven. Avoid stacking or overlapping samples to ensure that hot air can make full contact and effectively remove moisture.
3. Startup and Monitoring
Close the oven door and start the drying program. Periodically observe the drying progress and adjust parameters as necessary. Monitor the oven's operating status to ensure it is functioning correctly.
4. Completion and Removal
Once the drying program finishes, keep the oven door closed and allow the internal temperature to cool down gradually. Then, open the door to remove the samples for subsequent processing or analysis.
II. Safety Precautions
1. When using the oven for melting, drying, or other heat treatments, do not exceed the maximum operating temperature.
2. Place the oven in a well-ventilated, dry area. Do not place it directly on flammable surfaces such as wooden tables or boards; ensure there is adequate space around it for heat dissipation.
3. Do not place flammable or explosive chemicals, gas cylinders, refrigerators, or miscellaneous items near the oven; keep it away from power distribution boxes, electrical outlets, and power strips.
4. Display high-temperature warning signs and safety operating procedures in a prominent location near the oven, and implement necessary protective measures.
5. Do not overload the oven or pack samples too densely; ensure sufficient spacing for airflow. Do not place samples directly on the floor of the oven chamber. 6. It is strictly prohibited to bake flammable or explosive reagents and materials in the drying oven; do not use flammable containers, such as plastic baskets, to hold items during the baking process.
7. Upon completion of the drying process, turn off the equipment. Wait for the interior to cool to room temperature before removing the dried items and clearing out any debris. Ensure the unit has cooled to a safe temperature before leaving the area.
8. Avoid frequent opening of the oven door during operation to prevent disrupting the constant temperature environment.
9. If the drying oven lacks an over-temperature protection device, it must be monitored by dedicated personnel during operation. In the event of a temperature control failure, cut off the power immediately and inspect the unit to prevent accidents.
10. Conduct timely inspections and maintenance; do not use the oven beyond its service life (generally capped at 12 years) without obtaining prior approval.
III. Daily Maintenance of the Drying Oven
1. Power Supply Check
Regularly inspect the power cord for damage, aging, or loose connections. Replace or repair it promptly if any issues are found to ensure safe operation.
2. Temperature Calibration
Periodically calibrate the oven temperature to ensure accuracy and stability. Adjust the settings or replace the temperature sensor promptly if any deviations are detected.
3. Heating Element Maintenance
Check the condition of the heating elements; replace them immediately if they are damaged or worn out. Keep the heating elements clean and dry to prevent moisture damage or corrosion.
4. Cleaning and Care
Regularly remove dust and dirt from the interior and exterior of the oven. Wipe the equipment surfaces with a soft cloth, avoiding the use of corrosive cleaning agents or solvents.
